PIPC sanctions Coupang for data breaches with record KRW 624.681 billion fine

South Korea's Personal Information Protection Commission imposed its largest-ever administrative fine — KRW 624.681 billion — against e-commerce platform Coupang following data breaches affecting millions of customers. This is the highest penalty the PIPC has issued to date.
